Andrew Dewar
Managing Partner
Andrew joined Rockwood’s Investment Team in May 2006 as a Principal and is now the Managing Partner. Since joining, he has been extensively involved in sourcing and executing
investments and currently serves on the board of Enviroserv.
Before joining Rockwood, Andrew was a Partner at KPMG, where he worked in the Transaction Services Team.
Gareth Druce
Partner
Gareth joined Rockwood in 2008 and is responsible for operational and financial management, as well as investor relations. Since joining, he has played a key role in portfolio management and valuations and currently serves on the board of Kwikspace.
Gareth qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG London in 1996 before moving to South Africa in 1997, specializing in Corporate Finance at KPMG Johannesburg. In 2000, he joined BHP Billiton as Manager for Corporate Finance, South Africa, and later worked in the Business Economics and Evaluation team.
In 2003, Gareth founded and managed several small businesses before rejoining KPMG in 2005 as Head of Business Development: Tax and Legal, focusing on private equity clients.
Naseem Hassan
Portfolio Manager
Naseem joined Rockwood in 2016 as a Portfolio Manager. He supports the partners across the portfolio and serves on the board of Bravo.
Before joining Rockwood, Naseem spent five years at BHP Billiton and South32 as an Investment and Valuation Specialist, where he led financial valuations, modelling, and
investment analysis for strategic decision-making.
Earlier, he was a Senior Manager at KPMG Corporate Finance within the M&A Equity Capital Markets team, leading valuations, JSE transaction advisory, and capital raising projects.
Naseem also worked at Merchantec Capital as a Corporate Finance Analyst, gaining experience in capital raisings, JSE listings, and valuations.
